The Royal Hotel – Pilgrim’s Rest is situated in this historic and unspoiled gold mining village. We are on the AA Travel Guides Wall of Fame, for successfully winning the Heritage Accommodation Award for 3 consecutive years Proclaimed as a National Monument in 1986, the village has succeeded in preserving the quaint atmosphere of yesteryear.
The Royal Hotel lies at the heart of Pilgrims Rest, with accommodation being offered in one of the 50 richly decorated Victorian style bedrooms complimented by antique brass beds, ceramic washstands, Victorian ball and claw baths (We only have two rooms with showers, these are for our disabled clientele. The remaining 48 rooms are equipped with Ball & Claw baths.
Have an ice cold draught in the infamous "Church Bar before settling down for a selection of sumptuous meals are offered in our "Diggers Den Restaurant".
