Durnford's Lodge is a Bed and Breakfast Guest House Style, close to the C.B.D, yet away from the drone of everyday shopping and traffic. Paddy Ann and Charles are your hosts and are dedicated to customer service and wish to make your stay, be it short or long, as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
Durnford's Lodge is an old converted house and is named after Lt. Col. Anthony Durnford, who lost his life in the battle of Isandlawana in 1879. He was a unique character in every way and was renowned for being involved with Bishop Colenso's daughter. Although married, he was estranged from his wife who had remained in England.
Enjoy a drink in our licensed bar. Tasty home cooked meals served in our dining room or on the verandah around the pool. A swimming pool is available for guests to use at any time. The Ladysmith Country Club is a short drive away, where guests can enjoy bowls, squash, tennis or a round of golf.
All rooms are equipped with, DSTV, M-Net, Wireless Broadband Internet Access, Air-conditioning, fans and heaters and comfortable beds.
Our newly constructed Conference Hall has all the facilities you might need for as diverse occasions as a business strategy meeting, a launch, presentation or a reception.
