Mbizi Bush Lodge includes all the elements needed to make a safari in Southern Africa an unforgettable experience. Unique location in the heart of the bushveld, fabulous food, excellent game viewing and bird spotting makes Mbizi the perfect choice for long weekends, romantic get-aways and an ideal starting point for tours to the Northern Mpumalanga and Eastern Limpopo.
Mbizi is an exclusive small lodge nestled in the African bush, in a low risk malaria area. A stay with us will provide you with a true nature experience. You can either watch the game in the privacy and tranquility of your own veranda or from the veranda at the main house overlooking our private waterhole.
Mbizi Bush Lodge's spacious air-conditioned chalets have private entrance and a view over the bush from private verandas. From your double bed you will enjoy the sounds from the bush, birds singing in the morning and lions and hyenas calling in the night.
The chalets feature en-suite bathrooms with separate toilet, a shower and free toiletries that are replenished daily. The rooms are decorated in contemporary African stile. In your room you will find complimentary tea and coffee, facilities for early morning coffee and a minibar for sun-downers on your private veranda. All chalets are non-smoking. The 42m² chalet also features overhead fan, safe, wardrobe and hair dryer.
The main house, with the pool, the bar and the restaurant area are a short bush walk from the chalets. From the pool and the veranda you have a fantastic view overlooking the bush towards the Northern Drakensberg’s. You can sit at the veranda with a sundowner and watch the game come to our private waterhole as the sun sets, while you are waiting to be seated for your 3 course a la carte dinner. Free WIFI is available in the public areas.
We are situated only 25 km from the Kruger National Park, Phalaborwa gate. Mbizi is located in Grietjie Private Nature Reserve which is part of Balule Nature Reserve and unfenced to The Greater Kruger National Park.
