Clarens now has a star attraction in the Gypsy Wagons which will draw many curious travellers who wonder what it would be like to spend a weekend in one of these quirky, eccentric wagons.
We offer audacious travellers the ultimate glamping experience, by staying in our authentic wooden gypsy wagons so they can experience a taste of magical gypsy life, without having to travel far out of the city and without compromising on any of life’s luxuries.
Each hand crafted wooden Gypsy Wagon is unique with her own personality, colour scheme and finishing touches. They sit under majestic oak trees. From the outside they appear to be traditional wooden wagons, featuring hand carved and hand painted detailing. Although the interior is very similar to the traditional gypsy wagon with its raised bed, it is far more luxurious and caters for the modern traveller’s every need.
Although the interior is very similar to the traditional gypsy wagon, its raised queen size bed is fitted with down duvets and crispy linen and topped with hand crafted throws. Two of the gypsy glamper wagons have a lower bunk for little “glampers”. The kitchenette is fully equipped to prepare basic meals. The bathroom is an unexpected surprise with its flushing toilet and unique full size bath. (Real glampers don’t walk outside to the loo!) The traditional wood burning queenie stove is the heart of every gypsy glamper wagon. This dual purpose stove is perfect to keep away winter. There are no TV’s in the gypsy glamper wagons - guests are rather encouraged to sit outside on bean bags and watch the night skies. In the country it is fantastic to just relax and looking up at the stars.
Relax in the tranquil large garden with swings and hammocks in the trees. Enjoy the outdoor bohemian lounge area with braai. There is secure parking and Wi-Fi. Wagons are serviced daily.

* Regrettably we are not pet or wheel chair friendly.
* Due to the nature of our property, only children over the age of 10 years allowed.
* If you are planning/celebrating a special event/getaway please let us know, as we would love to make more special for you. Our village is peaceful, so we request no parties, functions or extra guests on property.
