The Royal Courtyard offers 3 stars graded hotel accommodation and conference facilities located in the centre of Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. Our hotel rooms offer standard, deluxe, luxury and VIP rooms in a secure gated complex. We are the largest establishment in the area and our client base includes national and provincial government departments, NGO's, professionals, company representatives, construction contractors, church organizations.
It is said that the last formal duel in South Africa took place behind the hotel. The establishment was purchased by the present owners in 2004 & has been undergoing extensive renovations, upgrading & additions.
We have Standard, Deluxe, Luxury, and VIP Rooms. In addition, our Deluxe and Luxury Rooms offer hair-dryers, shaving mirrors, ironing stations, full-length mirrors, writing desks, air-conditioners and a modern wardrobe. The VIP rooms include baths and an additional lounge room.
There is covered parking available behind access-controlled gates, as well as free Wi-Fi (T&C) throughout the establishment. We also have an in-house restaurant (regret no alcohol served). The Beauty Spa on the premises offers waxing, facials, Thai massages, massage chair pedicure, and acrylic/gel nails.
