The lodge accommodation is comprised of 32 thatched ensuite rooms, located in a beautiful garden, all overlooking the Orange River.

The J.A.K Strydom Private Nature Reserve (Central Reservations @ Riverside Lodge ) is situated 10km downstream from Aliwal North on the banks of the Orange River. Our self-catering lodge can accommodate up to twenty people. This exclusive malaria-free private Game Reserve offers 1200 hectares of indigenous beauty, just minutes away from the Riverside Lodge. Enjoy picnicking at one of the tranquil riverside picnic spots with a lapa and braai facilities on prearrangement. View any of our 21 species, including rare wildlife such as buffalo, bontebok, tsessebe, njalas, gemsbuck, waterbuck, eland, zebra, kudu etc. from your veranda. The reserve also has an abundance of bird life to view or enjoy fishing for the elusive Yellow fish.
Riverside Lodge room facilities include: coffee & tea facilities, TV & DSTV hotel package, air-conditioning, and bathroom amenities. Riverside Lodge includes: 2 fully licensed restaurants, conference facilities, outside swimming pool, children's playground, and Wi-Fi in main building.
Orangia Game Lodge room facilities include: coffee & tea facilities, TV & DSTV hotel package, air-conditioning, hairdryer, bathroom amenities, microwave, kitchenette area with bar fridge & crockery, private BBQ area. Orangia Game Lodge includes: large communal area with full-sized snooker table, Wi-Fi, swimming pool, children’s play area and tennis court. River front BBQ area with gazebo and short walking trail
J.A.K. Strydom Nature Reserve room facilities include coffee & tea facilities, TV's and communal kitchen and BBQ areas. J.A.K. Strydom Nature Reserve includes: fully equipped communal kitchens with lapa area and splash pool.

* All rooms that have been confirmed will be held until 16h00 on the scheduled date of arrival at which time the lodge may re-let the room without further notice, unless notified of a late arrival.
