We have two beautiful fully-equipped cottages and 3 motorhome stands. The cottages are filled with equipped with modern features and oozes sophisticated warm South African style decor.
Heuwelsig Cottages is situated on a working wine farm, surrounded by lush vineyard, orchards and scenic landscapes, just 5km from the well-known village of Franschhoek, about an hour’s drive from Cape Town.
Franchhoek originated for the French Hugenote, who settle here in the 17th century, bringing with them the culture and charm from Europe. Today Franschhoek, which means “French Corner”, is a vibrant town offering wine tasting, five star cuisine, an abundance of different artists, small boutiques, all surrounded by majestic mountains and beautiful scenery.
The Mountain Cottage provides accommodation for two adults only and offers a spectacular view of the mountains and peach orchards, with private courtyard in the back. The room consists of a king size bed that can be converted to, two single beds and ensuite bathroom shower only, underfloor heating and flat screen TV with DSTV. The Mountain Cottage provides a feeling of a secure, comfortable and cozy environment, offering a sitting room with built-in barbeque or fireplace facilities, kitchen equipped with all glassware, crockery, cutlery and electrical equipment. Portable barbeque facilities, is also available outside, private entrance and save parking on the premises.
The Family Cottage provides accommodation for a family of four, ideal for two adults and two young children and offers panoramic views of the valley and vineyard, with private courtyard in the back. The room is spacious and consists of two single beds and a king size bed, with full ensuite bathroom, under floor heating and flat screen TV with DSTV. The Family Cottage provides a feeling of a secure, comfortable and spacious environment, offering air-cons, lounge with fireplace, kitchen/ dining area, equipped with all glassware, crockery, cutlery and electrical equipment. Portable braai facilities available outside, private entrance and save parking on the premises. Motor Home Stands: All stands are equipped with electrical points, water, barbeque, with wood and our new ablution provides hot showers & flush toilets. Heuwelsig motorhome stands offer 3 spacious stands, two smaller ones, and one big stand, for the bigger motorhomes or groups traveling together. We do have a small heated, fenced off splash pool, to cool down on the hot summer days. We only take motorhomes, being completely equipped with everything needed.
Establishment facilities include: TV, DSTV, air-con, fireplace, braai facilities, secure parking, electrical fence around property and free Wi-Fi (Not for steaming movies though).
