Chimoyo Wildlife & Safaris is centrally situated in the Valley of the Elephants. This remote and unspoilt private wildlife reserve covers 8,000 acres of pristine lowveld Savannah. Whether by camera, or by rifle, hunting in this bush environment is challenging but most satisfactory. Visitors to Chimoyo are accommodated in bush style comfort.
The exclusive but rustic fly camp consists of 5 safari style canvass tents on wooden decks, neat ablutions, open lapa as well as a thatched kitchen and dining area. Should you rather prefer a more luxurious option, an air-conditioned ensuite cottage is also available. Self-catering or fully catered options are available. Apart from African buffalo, sable antelope and greater kudu, Chimoyo Wildlife and Safaris offers 13 other plains game species, a variety of raptors, game birds as well as predators. Leopard are frequently sighted during night drives. Our hunting price list is available on request. We have a fully equipped butchery and also offer meat processing facilities.
A tented camp consisting of 5 permanent tents on wooden decks (each tent sleeping two people). Lapa, self-catering facilities, outdoor shower and 2 separate ablution facilities. Must be rented as a whole. A one bedroom Cottage sleeping two people with bathroom ensuite as well as kitchenette.
Facilities and amenities available at the Tented Camp: Boma with fireplace and braai facilities, thatched kitchen/dining area, kettle, gas stove, fridge, deep freeze, open parking, two bathrooms and open air shower with hot and cold water. Braai grids, pots and pans, all crockery, cutlery and glasses enough for 10 people are provided. Two single beds with linen and blankets in each of the 5 tents. Cleaning services daily (free of charge once a day, surcharge per person extra if additional service is required later on the same day). Regret no television or swimming/splash pool.
Facilities and amenities at the cottage: air-conditioning, ceiling fans, heater, fully equipped kitchenette, kettle, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer, braai facilities, under cover parking, bathroom ensuite with shower & bath tub, double bed, towels, and linen.
