Serolo Safari Camp is located along the shady floodplain of the Limpopo River under the many massive riverine trees including the magnificent Mashatu and tall Apple-leaf trees.
Game (elephants, leopard, bushbuck, bush pigs, warthogs and African wild cats) can be seen drinking at the waterhole just below the camp and birders will be pleasantly rewarded with sightings of many species occurring in this camp’s habitat: Meyers Parrot, Meves Starlings, Southern Black Tit, African Mourning Dove, African Scops-Owl visit all year and summer brings visitors like Broadbilled Roller, Eurasian Golden Oriole, Woodland Kingfisher and Levalliants Cuckoo.
Raptors include Little Sparrowhawk and Gabar Goshawk. The unfenced camp offers accommodation in five fully serviced safari-style tents. All of the tents have two single beds, fans and both electric and hurricane lamps. All of the tents have en suite showers with hot water and flush toilets. All bed linen (duvets) and towels are provided.
In-room facilities include: Twin beds, fan, both electric and hurricane lamps, en-suite, and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas stove, electric kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave and deepfreeze. All crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils are provided.
Activities:
- Professionally-guided morning or afternoon wilderness walks.
- Professionally-guided game-drives in an open 4x4 safari vehicle.
