Situated alongside the N2 (National Road) and the Knysna Estuary, On The Estuary offers a memorable stay to all guests. From Check-in to Check-out, you will be given information on things to do in Knysna by the team. Previously known as Ar'deCo / Beauchamp Place. Ar'deCo used to be a private residence of the Late Dr James Leonard Brierley Smith, known as J.
L.B. Smith whom identified most of the exotic fish species including the Coelacanth, which is now believed to be extinct. Later owned by Frank & Oscar, who called the house "Frankly Oscar", adapted the American Ar'deCo style throughout the entire house. Anita Bekker, current owner of Ar'deco & Beauchamp Place, renamed the two guesthouses in April 2017, merging both under the same name, known today as On The Estuary Knysna.
