The Spotted Grunter Resort, sheltered by Mt. Thesiger behind us and Mt. Sullivan across the river, is a piece of heaven. The two sandstone mountains form the heads of the river mouth that flows into the Indian Ocean.
Our beautifully decorated rustic luxury log cabins can comfortably accommodate a total of 65 people in the resort, with a perfectly equipped kitchenette, braai area, and secure parking for every cabin.
A fully stocked bait and tackle shop provide all you need for a fishing getaway at the Spotted Grunter Resort, with braai supplies for an evening on the deck of your cabin. Our A La Carte restaurant boasts an assortment of meals, which can be enjoyed on a deck overlooking the swimming pool. The fully licensed Anglers Arms Pub is perfect for a cold beer after a hot day along the river, equipped with a pool table and darts board.
Bath towels and toiletries are provided in each cabin, as well as valuable safes to protect your possessions while you enjoy yourself during your stay at the resort. We also supply tea, coffee, sugar, and creamer in all the cabins. There are 2, 4 and 5 sleeper log cabins as well as hotel rooms ensuite with a double bed, fridge, and coffee, which encompass a fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom with gas-heated water showers. Cabins each have open plan lounges, dining room areas, single bunk beds, a double bed, and a sleeper couch. Bedrooms include a double bed or two single beds. All cabins possess their own braai area and private deck, with its own secure allocated parking.
Establishment facilities includes: braai facilities, swimming pool, boat slipway, trampoline, canoeing, river / sundowner cruises, backup generator, pub (including pool table and dartboard), restaurant, tackle & bait shop, deep sea fishing charters and conference facilities.
