Appelkooskop is a newly renovated stone cottage that is located in a kloof and ensures privacy, lots of fresh air and beautiful views.
It is ideal for those who want peace and relaxation while being surrounded by nature.
There are two bedrooms: The main bedroom has a queen bed and an ensuite bathroom with a shower; and the second bedroom is located upstairs in the loft and has two single beds.
Although the cottage does not have electricity, the kitchen is equipped with a gas stove and oven, a gas fridge and all the necessary utensils.
There is a dining table and a cosy fireplace for those winter days. The spacious living room opens onto the patio, which has a built-in braai and seating.
Cellphone reception is not available in the cottage, but one can find it a few metres from the cottage.
A walk or cycle will get guests to the lookout point, which offers a 360-degree view over the entire Overberg.
Upon arrival guests will receive a bottle of red wine.

"The location was like a fairy tale and extremely peaceful. It was so relaxing to be able to sleep without any city lights or noises keeping us awake. We also enjoyed the stars on the clear night and were able to enjoy the noises of nature. The cottage itself is very well built and outfitted. The fridge and stove worked wonderfully. The mattress was also very comfortable. The bathroom was very nicely decorated and convenient. All in all this is a perfect getaway for anyone who wants to spend quality time with family or for those who want a romantic getaway. It's secluded, peaceful and idyllic. I hope to visit again in future. Although it's a bit out of town, it didn't feel too far. I think we travelled about 40km in total to get back to the nearest town."

"Hierdie klein plekkie is waarlik die beste as jy werklik wil rus en heeltemal afskakel van die stad se geraas. Hier kan jy ook lekker fiets ry, maar moet dit nie ligtelik opneem nie, hier is sommer heelwat opdraendes:):). Wat dit so lekker maak is die feit dat dit werklik weg van als is en jy meesta..."

Wat dit so lekker maak is die feit dat dit werklik weg van als is en jy meestal staat maak op vuurmaak en niks maar niks selfoon of tv nie, dit is die wen resep vir my en vir die wat wil wegkom van alle media. Die klanke van al die verskillende voels en diere rondom jou bring 'n rustigheid oor jou wat moeilik is om te ignoreer. Kon darem die rugby op radio in motor luister wat ook weer op sy eie baie goed is want dan moet jy ook sommer vinnig weer leer om ordentlik te luister.
Baie dankie vir die eienaars wat hieride plekkie met die wereld deel.
