Situated in the lush, northern suburb of Athlone in Pietermaritzburg, we offer quality accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Our Bed & Breakfast is ideally located close to a number of private schools, shopping malls and hospitals. We are ten minutes from the CBD and Hilton and twenty minutes from Midmar Dam and the start of the Midlands Meander.
Our gorgeous “Garden Suites” are tastefully furnished with cottage pieces and comfy beds, duvets and throws. Our main ‘Garden Suite’ is a large, well-appointed suite with a private entrance, garden and veranda. It consists of a double bedroom with modern en suite bathroom and also has a den with television (m-net and DVD player available). A Kitchenette with sink, fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster allows guests to prepare light or pre-prepared meals. The den can sleep another adult and children can be accommodated on mattresses.
Our second “Garden Suite” or ‘Snug’ is nestled in the garden, separate from the main house. It is a smaller suite situated on two levels and consists of two single beds and a pull out bed for a child. It has an en suite bathroom with shower as well as a small kitchenette. The room has a television and DVD player.
We always endeavour to provide a warm, friendly environment for our guests who can relax on the beautiful veranda or at our sparkling 15 metre pool. We provide a scrumptious continental breakfast. A hearty supper can be arranged at an additional cost.
We are happy to accommodate children and have lovely facilities for them to enjoy.

Suitable for 2 adults & 2 children. This is a very spacious suite with lovely cottage furniture and cosy twin beds that convert into a very comfy King Size Bed. It has a private entrance with veranda and has a lovely lounge with M-net and DVD player as well as a kitchenette with fridge, sink, microwave and kettle/toaster to enable you to prepare light meals.
It has a modern bathroom with bath. A third person can be accommodated in the lounge and children usually bed down on mattresses in this area. Breakfast can be served in our gorgeous conservatory or left in your suite for you to help yourself.

This is a small but very cosy suite that would suit people just needing a place to stay for the night. It is split on two levels and so is not suitable for little children. It has a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster as well as TV. Breakfast, if required, is served in our conservatory otherwise a muffin/bread basket is left in your room.

This room is separate from the main house and the lovely, French décor makes it particularly cosy. It can sleep two singles or a couple on a king size bed. The suite has a fridge, microwave and hospitality tray. The open plan, modern bathroom has a shower.
The TV only has SABC channels and E-TV. Couples with older children can look at accommodating them in The Snug which is directly below this room.
