Capricorn Restcamp is situated next to the Naukluft Mountains making it an ideal stop-over en route from Windhoek to Sossusvlei, or from the South to the coast. The four bungalows are all equipped with twin beds, own shower & toilet, terrace, fireplace (braai) and electrical lights. Parking places are close to the bungalows.
Guests can settle and enjoy the view from the terrace of the bungalow and relax after a long day driving, they can also take a walk (botanical walk) and discover the numerous indigenous plants of the region. Here you find a variety of birds from the Namib Desert, Naukluft Mountains and from central Namibia. We provide four camp sites with shadow netting, fireplace (braai) and benches/tables. The camp site has a communal toilet and shower house. Breakfast, cold lunch and dinner are served at the terrace or in the dining room.

"What can we say? It's one of those places that, at first glance, appear to be nothing special. Cheap accomodation near the Naukluft Namib. But it's much more than that. We stayed for 3 nights and had the change to get to know Karsten, the owner, a bit better. He build the place 8 years ago by himsel..."

"What can we say? It's one of those places that, at first glance, appear to be nothing special. Cheap accomodation near the Naukluft Namib. But it's much more than that. We stayed for 3 nights and had the change to get to know Karsten, the owner, a bit better. He build the place 8 years ago by himself and is the perfect host. He will make sure you feel ok, all the time. And he's a great cook also.
We got stuck with the car at sunset near Sesriem (150km) and he helped us out, came to help us.
The bungalows are simple decorative but really good enough and who needs a perfect expensive interior, when your outside in the sun all the time. Great showers! For sure we will return to Capricorn another time."
