Donkin House is an up-market 3-star guest house in Beaufort West, in the heart of South Africa's Karoo region. We cater for business people and families alike. All rooms are en suite, with free wifi, air conditioning, Dstv, secure parking, swimming pool, gymnasium, licensed bar and with a traditional farm-style dinner buffet every evening in our restaurant.
Our cuisine is superb. In the morning our guests can enjoy our full English breakfast.
This is a family operation, with Attie and Karin Arnoldi as your hosts.
We offer our guest's 20 spacious and stylish en suite rooms for single travelers, or for a "big" family on their way to a holiday destination.
We have enclosed parking for your vehicle to ensure that it is safe. Guests will use their own remote key to come in and out as they please. 24 hour security camera monitoring and electric fence brings peace of mind.
Relax and unwind in our bar or beside the sparkling pool with a specially made Karoo-sundowner. Or socialize in the garden under our beautiful pergolas. We offer our guest's a gymnasium to relax after a stressful drive, braai-facilities and we are walking distance from the local golf course.

(We decided to eat their buffet dinner, which caught us slightly by surprise, as it basically consisted of one type of meat, rice, baby potatoes and two veggies. Our daughter could only eat a little bit of sweet potato, for which we were charged R70!! As we know a buffet, you have a choice of various foods and all food are normally included in the buffet price. Then there was a choice of desert, which was either malva pudding with custard or ice cream with chocolate sauce, for which we were charged additionally, but not informed of initially.) Eating the buffet dinner seemed to be a rip-off."
