12 Hofmeyr is situated on a leafy, historic neighbourhood just off Kloof Street, one of Cape Town's trendiest areas. You are within walking distance from excellent restaurants, coffee shops, design stores, galleries and centrally located to explore all the city has to offer.
In 12Hofmeyr we have tried to capture in a guesthouse what we desire and appreciate when we travel: comfort, modern amenities, great design, a great neighbourhood and a curated local experience.
Our little Victorian house has just undergone a major renovation and in doing so we have tried to conserve as many of the old existing Victorian features, while throwing in a huge dose of funk, design and local flavour. The result is an unusual blend of old and new, of both form and function. We believe that 12Hofmeyr offers the guest the opportunity to stay in Cape Town as a Capetonian and to have a unique local experience.
All four bedrooms are en-suite, air-conditioned, have plasma TV’s with a host of satellite channels in various languages and high-speed internet access. Each one is individually designed to showcase local designers and offer ultimate comfort to our guests.
With 4 en-suite rooms, we cater to groups both large and small. When not in your room you can relax in the lounge, enjoy a tea in the leafy courtyard or make your way onto the roof and into the Jacuzzi to admire the fantastic views over the harbour and Table Mountain. Coffee is always available from the Nespresso machine in the newly renovated kitchen, which has everything you need in case you decide to stay in and cook or want to whip up a snack. With filtered still and sparkling water on tap, we won’t ever charge you to stay hydrated. Free parking is available in the street with 24hour security patrols. The house is serviced every weekday and we are happy to offer any additional advice to help in making your stay in Cape Town memorable.
The MyCiti bus service has stops within a 5-minute walk and you can also easily reach the Red Bus stops for tours of the city. If you plan to drive yourself, there is ample free parking in the street in front of the house.
Please note:
***No pets are allowed.
***The rooms are strictly non-smoking.
***A baby cot is available for the White Room at no extra cost.
***We regret no children under the age of 12.
***Please be advised that upon arrival / check-in, a security deposit of 50% is required to cover the cost of any breakages / loss / damage to the property. This will be refunded upon departure should the house and all valuable still be in good condition.
