Lincoln Cottages was conceived, designed and landscaped by Ken and Monica Phillips. The tastefully decorated Cottages were hand built by the owners, and therefore the accommodation which is offered bears a reflection of love and commitment to excellence.
Lincoln Cottages prides itself in providing award winning BnB self-catering accommodation situated in the heart of Lincoln Meade, Pietermaritzburg.
We are conveniently situated close to all amenities, many schools, hospitals and a 10 minute drive to the Pietermaritzburg CBD. The BnB accommodation which is offered consists of eight fully self-catering cottages which provide for the every need of our clients, offering a true home from home experience surrounded by tranquil gardens. Our friendly staff are on hand to ensure that your accommodation meets your every expectation. Each of our Cottages are fully self-catering, so you are able to prepare your own meals with ease. Lincoln Cottages, as the leading BnB and self-catering accommodation provider in Pietermaritzburg, offers air conditioned rooms with fans, DSTV, free unlimited Wi-Fi and all meals should you so wish. We pride ourselves in offering superior breakfasts and other meals delivered directly to your cottage at times suitable to yourself. This service has proved very popular with our many clients in the past, both locally based and from overseas countries. In many cases the business man/woman who frequent our accommodation simply do not have the available time to utilize our self-catering equipment, so the choice of having meals catered for and brought directly to ones Cottage has a huge appeal. Pietermaritzburg is host to many sporting and cultural events held throughout the year, so the need for superior accommodation of the standard that we at Lincoln Cottages provide, has ensured that we are the preferred BnB, and our high occupancy rate is proof of this. Description:
This cottage sleeps up to three people. It is essentially one large room equipped with two single beds and a sleeper couch. The kitchen is also located within the room and is fully equipped with granite work tops. There are separate wash up facilities and an on suite shower area leading off this room.
The unique feature of this cottage is the covered outside patio that has the best views of the gardens, and faces the communal braai area. This cottage sleeps up to 3 people.

This modern finish cottage is the largest of all our self-catering cottages. This Chateau can sleep up to 6 people. It has two rooms and open plan lounge and kitchen. The kitchen boasts fully fitted cherry wood cupboards with granite tops, complete with a hob and oven as well as a breakfast nook.
The main bedroom has a king size bed and two single beds in the second bedroom as well as a double sleeper in the lounge area. The bathroom boasts shower and a bath. The Chateau cottage is semi wheelchair friendly.

The down lights in the kitchen provide a homely ambiance that compliments the style of this modern kitchen. The open plan kitchen leads onto the bedroom which can sleep up to three people, with a queen size bed and plenty of room for an additional single bed. A tempo ceiling fan for relief on those hot days adorns the stylish ornate moulded ceiling. The classy bathroom has a shower over the bath tub – to suit the taste of your preference.

The bedroom has a tempo ceiling fan which adorns the very ornate moulded ceiling…and this adds to the finishing touches of this modern cottage. The cottages are situated near a flowing brook which creates a feeling of relaxation and serenity. When combined - the Cabernet & Merlot cottage can be let out as a spacious family unit via inter leading access which then can sleep 5 persons.

One of the great features of this Apartment (also similar to Libertas Apartment) is that it has direct access to the Pool area which is found at Reception. One is able to use the built in braai while sitting around the pool and enjoying the tranquil garden setting, a hall mark that we at Lincoln Cottages pride ourselves in. The large wooden deck situated at the entrance of the apartment is directly under a mature Acacia tree making it an ideal place to unwind and relax while enjoying evening sundowners or to enjoy your breakfast at sunrise. The cozy fire place gives a homely ambiance to cuddle up during on those cold winter nights.

The charm of the décor of this apartment reminds one of a leisurely life style of bygone years. One enters the apartment into an entrance hall which serves also as a dining room. A short passage leads to the self-catering kitchenette and bathroom area equipped with a separate shower and ablutions.
Entrance is gained into the bedroom via the entrance hall through stately glass sliding doors. A ceiling chandelier lends ambiance to this tastefully decorated room which exudes 19th century charm. Ideally the Libertas can sleep 4 persons, 3 in the main bedroom and a single bed in the entrance hall.
