Fir~Lea - A room in a Victorian House
Plumstead
House/Apartment, Self Catering
(1
unit)
(3 customer reviews)
Fir~Lea is a quaint Victorian home in the residential suburb of Plumstead. The house was built in 1945, during a period when homes were built to reflect simplistic functionality over design and site position.
The house has welcomed approximately five owners during this time, with the present owner taking occupation in 2014.
Minimal changes have been made to the structure of the house, while ongoing attention maintains its old-world charm. The removal of part of an internal wall separating the lounge from the dining room has opened up the internal space and adds to the special flow when moving about.
Winters are lovely and warm with three fireplaces adding to its warm ambiance. Most of these evenings feature slow cooked meals together with plentiful wine from local farms or small-scale wines produced by the owner. Summers are warm, however the high ceilings in all the rooms create a cool internal break from the heat.
The house contains all the facilities guests might require. Bbq facilities are also available.
A large television screen can be accessed via a HMDI connection for live streaming.
A minimum of a two-night stay is required.
