Come relax in a quiet, clean atmosphere. We offer magnificent views, gorgeous bed linen with Goose down duvets, spotless accommodation.
Working farm with Sheep, Geese, Donkeys and Alpacas. The sound of Jackal at night sets the mood and relaxes the soul.
In-room facilities includes: *En-suite bathrooms with a bath and/or shower*Efficient wood stove/fireplace*Full size fridge/freezer* Kitchenette with pots, pans, cutlery and crockery*Excellent Cloud 9 beds*Complimentary coffee and tea with fresh milk* Pure spring water, filtered for your convenience.
Establishment facilities include: *Safe parking*Walking trails* Various MTB trails, from 13 to 42 kilometres*Braai facilities with free wood,additional wood for sale*Encounters with farm animals at own risk*Feeding of Sheep or Geese.
The farm, Schoonzicht, is in the Ficksburg district and in winter we can get a tad chilly. We have recorded a low of -17oC in 2014. The sandstone formations are stunning and the autumn colours of the Poplar trees are well known. Summers do warm up to the high 20's and into the 30's on hot days.

"If you need time out at a home away from home, this is the place. No radio, no TV, almost no cellphone reception, just pure bliss. I enjoyed my time to relax in the wonderful fresh air of this Free State farm, with Elvis the ostrich as the closest neighbor.
