Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Magaliesburg, Bernally's offers furnished self-catering chalets with fire places, tented accommodation, camping sites and caravan sites.
You are also welcome to contact us if you wish to host bachelor’s parties etc.
Amenities for campers & day visitors and well stocked dams make this an ideal getaway place.
Only 50 minutes from the bustle of Johannesburg, it's well within reach for a welcome break for the whole family.
Please note:
* The lodge is nothing fancy or 5 star, very basic but adequate to get away from the hustle and bustle for a couple of days.
* We are mainly a bass fishing facility however we do stock all the other species too. No specimen fishing can be done here at the moment only conventional fishing, bass fishing and fly fishing.
* Please bring all your own toiletries and towels for the chalets and cabins.
* There may be a levy charged for a 1 night booking over weekends and long weekends.
* Guests shall indemnify Bernally's Fishing Lodge, staff, land owners and lodge owners on whose land Guests camp, fish, ride, swim, canoe, caravan, overnight or any other activity against any losses, injuries, fatalities, death or damage whatsoever to Guests or Guest's property whilst at The Lodge, regardless of the cause.
* All fishing is strictly catch and release. No keep nets allowed and all fish will be handled in a proper manner to ensure their survival. Catch take the pic, weigh if you have a decent scale and release please.
* Guests agree to keep noise levels to a minimum in respect of other guests of The Lodge and the environment.
* Guests shall make fires only in pre-designated areas and shall not leave fires unattended at any time for any reason whatsoever.
* All visiting pets are to be fully socialised, sterilised and have vaccinations up to date.

2-Sleeper self-catering thatched cottage, overlooking the main dam. Bedsitter design with double bed and personal cupboard space. Open plan kitchen with kettle, 2-plate gas stove, toaster, fridge, wash basin, basic cutlery and crockery, and pots and pans, dish washing liquid and washing up stuff.
Cozy fireplace, and small lounge area with chairs and coffee table. Bathroom with toilet, hand basin and bath; hot water geyser dedicated to cottage. Fully electrified with sufficient plug points. Lounge leads onto patio area with sliding glass door. As with the rest of the lodge, this is safe and secure.

Description:
This one-room Timber Built Cabin sleeps 2 people. It is furnished with a double bed & bedding. The kitchenette section has gas-bottle with cooker plate, kettle for gas, very basic cooking utensils, basic cutlery & crockery, there is also a cooler box with free ice to keep stuff cold.
The wooden deck has a table and 2 chairs.
A wash up area for dishes is located at the cabin cold water only. Use of communal ablutions. WC's are neat and clean and comprise 2 separate sections for men and ladies. In each section we have 2 toilets, 2 hand basins, 2 showers and 1 bathroom with toilet, hand basin and bath on both sides ladies and gents. There is also a nice wash up area behind the ablutions hot and cold water. A braai area with grid is also supplied.

The Giant Heron Chalet has a natural rock splash pool in front of it for your private use. The Giant Heron Chalet has a self-catering kitchen with a fridge / freezer. There is a bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. There 2 bedrooms furnished with double beds with bedding.
There is a double sleeper couch in the lounge area and bedding is also provided for the sleeper couch. There is a nice fireplace in the unit. On the patio there is a large table with 6 chairs as well as a braai and a spot to make a nice campfire. This unit shares the same bathrooms as the fishermans cabin which are right next door. The unit is situated about 20m from the waters edge of the main dam and has a lovely view out over the main dam and the splash pool in front of the chalet.

Description:
We have 34 campsites along all 4 dams. Each campsite has a tap, lamp post and a plug point. Please note these plug points are for small electrical appliances like extra lights, cell phones, laptops, fridges, regret no hot plates or kettles please bring gas to cook on and boil water.
There are braai facilities, braai grill and a spot to make a nice campfire at each site.
The sites are all on the waters edge. The bathrooms are tidy and clean and both ladies and gents sides have full bathrooms ( Bath, toilet and hand basin in 1 cubicle ) as well as 2 showers, 2 toilets and 2 hand basins on both sides.
There is also a nice wash up area behind the bathrooms for dishes etc.
There are 4 dams and we have lovely walking trails along dams and river. The dams are stocked with bass, carp, blue kurper, yellow fish and barbel. We have rowing boats available if you should wish to go rowing. We also have firewood available if you should need.
