Lavender Beach self-catering cottage/and flat - situated on the beach-front in Vermont in the Overberg region, Western Cape, South Africa, 110km from Cape Town, only 5 minutes away from Hermanus, heart of the beautiful Cape Whale and Wine Route.
A wonderful, romantic and peaceful retreat in the most beautiful setting! The ideal getaway for families, self-drive tourists, honeymoon couples and small birding/golfing/eco-tourist groups.
Hermanus is famous for whale watching and nearby Gansbaai offers Great White Shark excursions. Walkerbay is home to some of the best wines in South Africa. We offer lovely sea views, is centrally located, within walking distance to the Onrus-beach and close to supermarkets and restaurants.
Enjoy the best land-based whale watching in the world. In season guests regularly see whales while enjoying breakfast on the front patio. Great beach and mountains walks! This is an ideal base for exploring the many things to do in the area.
The double storey house sleeps 2-8 guests.
3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms
• A cosy open-plan lounge/dining room (equipped with DSTV, VCR, DVD and Radio/CD player) leads out onto the front sea-facing patio and garden.
• Cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen with separate laundry including a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.
• The main bedroom downstairs has a double bed and there are two bathrooms downstairs, one with a bath and one with a shower.
• The second bedroom upstairs is a spacious Loft- living room with amazing sea views!
• The loft room offers 3 single beds and a private toilet, shower and basin.
• 3rd bedroom upstairs with double bed- amazing sea views!!
Outside in the garden between the house and the flat is a built-in barbeque and outside dining area with lovely mountain views. The separate flat (sleeps 1-3 guests).
• Outside, on top of the double garage is a spacious airy open - plan loft room with beautiful sea and mountain views!
• It offers a king-size bed and one single bed, an ensuite bathroom with bath.
• TV with SABC 1, 2, 3 & e-TV and DVD player.
• The open-plan mini kitchenette is fully equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and electric frying pan.
• You can view the whales from your bed or sit on the balcony.
If you want accommodation away from the hustle and noise ‘Lavender Beach' certainly is your holiday destination. Linen and towels are provided-please bring your own beach towels. Secure off-street parking available.
