This private and exclusive retreat tucks itself away amongst the Makhonjwa Mountains up a 4.5 kilometres mountain pass gravel road. The surroundings offer an abundance of nature and natural beauty in a safe, tranquil and subtropical environment with awesome views over Barberton and the ancient Makhonjwa Mountains.
Die Houthuisie.
This rustic, African style self-catering cottage can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. The main bedroom has a Double bed and the second bedroom has two single beds. A dining room, lounge with an oil heater, fully equipped kitchen and a shared bathroom. There is an undercover stoep and barbeque area (firewood supplied) as well as your own private rock pool.
Die Berghuisie.
This is a rustic, exclusive and very private self-catering mountain cottage. It is fully equipped and has 2 bedrooms, one with a Double bed and the other with 2 Single beds, a kitchen, bathroom, lounge with a fireplace as well as a deck. It has a braai area (firewood is supplied). There is also a spring water rock pool with spectacular sunset views over the Barberton valley and mountains.
Activities include hiking, bird watchers paradise, a nature lovers dream.
A 4.5 kilometres mountain pass road winds its way up the mountain, lined with thousands of ancient rocks. 3.5 Billion years of history is captured in the footprints of these rocks. Tucked away amongst the giant Saddleback Mountains, south-east of Barberton, a magical world of earth reveals itself by telling a story of being the oldest on the planet: millions of years of earthly magic. Among these rocks a fairytale mountain hut tucks itself away.

"Loved the awesome view,piece and quiet. Could maybe if possible fix the heat to the rock pool,mountain water a bit on the cold side,although I did get in, Gerrie was a bit shy of the cold water... LOL Did not meet Sandra but Wayne very good gracious host,telling us what we neede to know and leaving ..."

Ideal place for soul searching and re discovering yourself through the awesomeness of God's creation Nature. Will defenetly recommend our stay to couples or individuals(as we never felt in danger or scared)
