Where you'll find a haven for the weary travellers. Situated near the Central Drakensberg, the vibe is relaxed, comfortable and easy as.
Situated on a farm 7 km outside of Winterton, at the same access gate as Drakensberg Bush Lodge. Our backpackers are budget orientated but featuring private bathroom facilities and no sharing of rooms with strangers.
Each room has a ceiling fan and wall heater. Rooms also have access to free limited Wi-Fi. The bed layout is a tri-bunk (double bed at bottom and single at top) as well as a separate single bed. A desk and information booklet about some hiking trails in the area are also available. Hot water by means of a gas geyser is available. Double rooms are much more luxurious than the more traditional quadruple backpackers rooms.
The guests will have access to an outdoor communal kitchen, featuring an oven and stove top, two fridges, microwave oven, kitchen utensils etc. For the rainy days there is a communal lounge with a TV and commercial package DSTV, dart board, pool table and a small selection of books and magazines.
The self-catering double rooms have a more private space than the traditional quadruple backpackers rooms.
