An earthy, traditional Tsonga styled lodge, Hoyo Hoyo offers luxury in six beautifully furnished huts. Set on the banks of the Mluwati River, the lodge is one of Africa's most innovative game lodges - where guests can experience a uniquely African way of life in traditional style huts linked by sand pathways and centered around the central boma.
The combination of the bush, traditional cuisine, the warmth of the accommodation together with the opportunity to witness the lifestyle and culture of the Shangaan people, ensure an unforgettable safari experience.
Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge boasts six traditional yet luxurious huts, each beautifully furnished in an earthy style, harmoniously combining modern living with specially crafted symbols of ancient Tsonga traditions. The result is a staggering explosion of ethnic luxury encompassing both warmth and style. King-size beds, authentic ethnic objects, and romantic antique-styled en-suite baths ensure you never forget your first taste of the African Safari experience. All rooms are air-conditioned and have mosquito nets.
The lodge has a swimming pool, offers a butler service, and transfers are available from the Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit and the KMI Airport outside Nelspruit.
Game viewing at Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge is truly spectacular and the lodge is home to creatures great and small. Africa's Big 5 - lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo - roam the reserve as well as a diverse variety of antelope, birds and insects. Open game drives, guided bush walks, and bird watching are all offered at the lodge, as well as a self-drive option through the Kruger National Park.
Hoyo-Hoyo Tsonga Lodge offers cosy indoor dining in the lodge dining area, as well as spectacular open-air dining, where magnificent cuisine freshly prepared to your satisfaction by personal butlers, offers a menu as extensive as the African wilderness. Private dining is a romantic alternative, and bush picnics can also be arranged.
