KwaMbili Game Lodge provides an authentic safari experience at an affordable price. KwaMbili is situated in the Thornybush Game Reserve near Hoedspruit, within the Greater Kruger area. The reserve is home to the Big Five as well as an abundance of other game and bird species. This means good sightings, either while out on a game drive or on foot during bush walks.
KwaMbili means place of two in the local Shangaan language. Our knowledgeable rangers will introduce you to the tracks, movements, sights and sounds which give you a window into the secrets of the African bush.
Back at the lodge, view wildlife from the safety and comfort of our well positioned hide. If all this calls for time to just let the experience sink in, take a dip in the swimming pool, just relax in an armchair or enjoy a cool drink at the bar. Accommodation at KwaMbili consists of thatched chalets or large Meru style safari tents. All have shower and toilet and electric power, their own patio and mosquito nets over the beds. The chalets are positioned closer to the main building and are air-conditioned. Two of the chalets have inter-leading doors and can be used as a family unit. The safari tents are further from the main building, each under a thatched roof. The flaps can be opened or closed according to the weather. They also have an open air shower and toilet.
In room facilities include: A shower, toilet, mosquito nets, electricity, tea, coffee and sherry, air conditioning in chalets, fans in tents.
Establishment facilities include: Hide and water hole, swimming pool, bar, game drives and bush walks.

"A fantastic safari experience was had by our family of four - two children under 11. We were made welcome in an informal and relaxed setting by cheerful, helpful and competent staff. The food was excellent and servings were more than adequate. Our room was clean with tasteful decor. We saw the big 5 as promised- in fact each game drive had one or more highlights and a wealth of info was given on a wide variety of birds and animals. Thank you to Luke, Eddie, Loveness and Jef for an unforgettable holiday."
