About the area:
De Kelders is near Gansbaai, on the Cape South Coast, two hours drive from Cape Town. The wild beautiful ocean of Gansbaai offers a unique eco-experience – this is the Kruger National Park of marine tourist attractions in South Africa! The cliffs of De Kelders are a perfect vantage point for land based whale watching – arguably the best in the world!
Boat trips leave from the local harbours daily to take you on an ocean safari like no other, with Southern Right Whales, Great White Sharks, Cape fur Seals, dolphins and a large variety of birds. As well as being the best place in the country to experience the ultimate whale watching and shark diving, Gansbaai and De Kelders has magnificant fynbos (wild flowers), perfect white beaches and spectacular scenery.
