Welcome to Pontac Manor Hotel & Restaurant, a celebrated establishment in the historic town of Paarl, at the heart of the Cape Winelands, close to Cape Town.
Surrounded by majestic oak trees and manicured gardens, the hotel has been restored to its former Victorian elegance and welcomes guests from around the globe.
Original historic features in architecture and furnishing reflect an era of gracious living. Here, in a luxurious and yet homely atmosphere, first-class service and modern convenience blend with traditional style and genteel hospitality. On warm summer days, enjoy a refreshing dip in the pool or bask by the poolside on a reclining lounger. Snacks, light meals and beverages are served throughout the day and garden or pool service is readily available upon request.
In the Manor House, plump sofas and armchairs invite one to lean back and relax in a luxurious yet homely atmosphere. Double volume ceilings allow for a sense of space and light throughout the Manor House public areas. From Duke's Bar at Pontac, furnished in Afro-chic style, a magnificent mahogany bar counter and huge indoor fireplace beckons.
On the expansive Victorian veranda, guests can sip sun-downers whilst savouring the magnificent view to the mountains beyond or enjoying the tranquility of the gardens where squirrels hop amongst the oaks. Breakfast, light meals and beverages are served here throughout the day and diners may enjoy the delightful flavours of the menu at Café du Pontac anywhere on the premises.
No comfort has been spared in appointing and equipping the hotel's twenty-two individually decorated rooms. Each a living statement of simple elegance, the guest rooms are furnished in fabrics of the finest quality and feature Victorian and African furniture. All rooms are equipped with telephone, television, tea and coffee making facilities and individually controlled air-conditioning.

My room with a mountain view was spacious, clean and comfortable but a distinguishing feature was the big, well appointed en suite bathroom. It was, however, not only the appearance and facilities that will take me back there again, but the good and friendly service I received. If an historic building with antique furniture is your scene, Pontac Manor Hotel & Restaurant is your place. And, if it is not it still is for what it offers in terms of surrounding, peacefulness and really superb rooms and friendly service."
