Trogon House & Forest Spa is a small intimate Guest Lodge offering unique luxury accommodation, suspended in the treetops of a private indigenous forest reserve located in The Crags, at the foothills of the untamed Tsitsikamma Mountains and beyond.
The lodge lies within the untouched indigenous forest on the most scenic and unspoilt stretch of the Garden Route, flanking world renowned tourist attractions such as Monkeyland, Birds of Eden and The Elephant Sanctuary. The picturesque seaside town of Plettenberg Bay, with its stunning never-ending beaches, ocean based activities and gastronomic delights is only a 20 minute drive away. Elevated in the treetops and using only natural materials, this unique establishment embraces the forest by means of glass walls and sky-lit roofs, inviting the forest inside and creating a true "nature" experience. Assess to the lodge is via a single track dirt road which is approximately 1.4km from the entrance of Monkeyland. The dirt road is completely passable for any vehicle type, just drive slow, enjoy the adventure into the forest and keep a look out for any of the resident wildlife en-route!!
All suites offer king size beds, glass ceilings in private bathrooms, Satellite TV, tea & coffee stations and are tastefully decorated, to make it the perfect comfortable home away from home surrounded by forest beauty and the sounds of nature.
We offer a wonderful South African home-style 3 course dinner every night at the lodge, price ranging depending on the menu or season. Please make sure you pre-book to guarantee your table. Snack, Lunch and Dinner Platters are also available at an additional cost, please enquire with us should you be interested. Book the Forest Spa for some relaxation (no treatments included) for an additional cost, for 2 hours exclusive use. This includes use of the Sauna & Jacuzzi; a wood fire is lit with gentle music playing, candles, gowns and slippers are provided while the stress melts away in the glass room surrounded by lush forest. Platters and/or a bottle of MCC can be arranged and brought down to the room for your SPA Booking.
