The Msunduze River Lodge is a safe and secure lodge situated on a working wildlife veterinary property, close to the N2 between Hluhluwe and Mkuze and personally run and hosted by owners Rose and Mike. The lodge lies under the scenic Lebombo Mountains on the banks of the Msunduze River in Northern Zululand.
It is surrounded by prime fever-tree wildlife bush with prolific bird life, antelope and other wildlife.
Accommodation is offered in 5 separate air-conditioned luxurious chalets with ensuite bathrooms, and able to comfortably accommodate 2 guests each. Each chalet has its own private patio with views of the riverbed and surrounding bush.
There is a beautiful shared scenic open-lounge and dining room area with a bar and DStv, as well as an outdoor boma and fire-pit for romantic fireside meals and braais. Boma braais, braai packs, and home-cooked dinners are available as well as packed lunches. Relax and kickback from the stresses of city life with a bottle of wine, listen on your patio to the night sounds of lions roaring, hyenas whooping, and nightjars calling.
