Wilderness Manor is an elegant and refined Guest House overlooking the beautiful Wilderness Lagoon and is within easy and safe walking distance to golden beaches, restaurants and village shops.
This exquisitely decorated home has an ambience of tranquillity, luxury and style. It is beautifully decorated in an African colonial style with oriental rugs, family heirlooms, antiques, art, books and collectables.
Relax in the spacious Guest Lounge or Reading Lounge with superb views from the balconies overlooking the lagoon.
Guests can retire to the serenity of four stylish ensuite bedrooms: three luxury and spacious Lagoon Facing Rooms on the second floor, and one Garden Room on the ground floor with a private garden/patio (no lagoon view). All bedrooms offer white percale bed linen, bathrobes, magazines, telephone, TV, bar fridge, safe, hairdryer, tea/coffee tray and ceiling fans/heaters.
Look forward to a Continental buffet and English breakfast which is served in our breakfast room, opening onto a sunny balcony overlooking the indigenous forest, where the Knysna Loerie often comes to feed...
Explore the Wilderness area by walking on endless beaches, hiking through breath taking natural forests, canoeing up the Touw River, mountain biking on little by-roads, driving through scenic mountain passes to the Karoo (a day excursion), playing golf at excellent nearby golf courses or just relaxing and sunning oneself on the golden beaches that Wilderness has to offer (umbrellas and towels supplied).
Wilderness Manor is an excellent base from where one can explore the lakes area and nearby Garden Route & Klein Karoo attractions. A three or four night stay is ideal.

The house is beautiful and well taken of with spectacular views of the lagoon. The luxury room is spacious and comfortable too. I fell in love with the pillows. And my favourite meal of the day, breakfast, was a sumptuous experience. The fruit salad just perfect every morning.
