Oak View Manor is a stately century-old Cape Dutch heritage home in the shade of a giant oak.
Even with its longstanding reputation as 'the most beautiful house in Heidelberg', Oak View Manor recently benefited from a sensitive makeover and some long-overdue restoration. The main house now boasts a picturesque high tea parlour which is open to the public on most days, a charming old bar and conservatory area, elegant yet comfy lounges, a giant fire pit under the oak, and a sundowner deck overlooking the back courtyard.
PLEASE NOTE: You will have your own main gate key or remote to enter the property and park your car, and your own house key for access to your room. Our dogs usually sleep in our room on the second floor, and they will let us know when you get home. We are 100% comfortable with this, so please don't feel like you are imposing or disturbing us should you get home late (or early). The only other unusual thing to note is that the water in your on-suite and in ours is pumped with an automated system that uses electricity. Should there be a power failure, please give us a few minutes to switch on the generator BEFORE you flush your loo, take a shower, or let out your bath or basin water. Thank you.
