Off Beat Bush Lodge is an authentic eco- friendly base. Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and experience this natural paradise.
Relax and enjoy this lovely bush lodge and take it easy, do nothing, spend quality time with friends or family, or sleep to your heart's content.
The camp is situated along the banks of a seasonal river that runs through the farm, surrounded by pristine vegetation.
Although there are no resident"Big 5" on the property you may see or hear them on adjoining reserves.
This eco- friendly camp is run entirely on solar lighting, lanterns and gas with individual lights in the cabins.
The rustic but comfortable lifestyle of the camp encourages immediate relaxation and tranquility with the natural environment. The accomodation is charaterististically unique.
Cabins:
There are 4 elevated timber and thatched twin cabins each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen/lounge/bar and braai area is shared.
Each unit has its own outside bathroom with running water and conventional toilets - this offers the opportunity to shower under the stars, a truly mesmerising experience.
A fully equipped kitchen including refridgeration and gas stove compliments the ambience of this secluded hideaway.
There are braai areas for those who love cooking around an open fire. Share a drink or two whilst absorbing the fantastic night sounds.
Cottage/Family Unit:
A private enclosed unit ideal for families or friends. One room has 3 beds and the adjoining room sleeps 4. Two bathrooms, a kitchen, lounge/dinning and braai area completes this secluded section of the camp.
Hot water is provided in the traditional method with a heated donkey boiler that supplies all the showers. Situated close to the decked bar area is a refreshing splash pool, ideal for those hot summer days!
A shaded, secretive hide overlooks a popular water hole, providing great game viewing.
The subtle lighting of lanterns, camp fire and endless views of the southern sky create the most awe-inspiring atmosphere. Although electricity is not available in the camp, there is the opportunity to charge cameras and phones during the day by means of a small generator and plugs. Game drives and horse rides are also available.
