Nestled in the magnificent Slanghoek Valley on the slopes of the Badsberg conservancy you will find the Slanghoek Mountain Resort. It is a haven for those who can appreciate spectacular views and the natural beauty of the indigenous fynbos. The valley offers adventure filled walks for nature lovers.
To accommodate you, we have self-catering chalets and a tented camp as well as camping with own tent or caravan.
This valley can be visited throughout the year as each season reveals its own secret beauty.
All chalets are equipped with heaters, fans, refrigerators, microwave ovens, stoves, kettles and toasters. All basic cutlery and crockery is provided. Bedding and towels are provided. An indoor braai with black iron pot (except chalet 7) and a braai grid are a bonus for cold winter nights. 9 DSTV channels are available in the chalets. All Safari Tents are equipped with refrigerators, microwave ovens, electric frying pans, kettles and toasters and all basic cutlery and crockery. There is a kitchen sink on the stoep. Loose standing braai with grid is provided. All bedding is included except for the double sleeper couches in the four sleepers. Each tent includes two towels.
We have two horses on the resort that can be used for out rides. There are swimming pools, trampolines and jungle gyms. There is also a nice walk to a lookout point. The area is surrounded with cellars, vineyards and mountains. Visit the cellars for wine tasting. Fishing, canoe trips, 4X4 and much more nearby, not on the resort itself. To name only a few, visit the Karoo National Botanical Garden, KWV Brandy Cellar and Kleinplasie open air Farm Museum.
