Forest Camp is situated on the slopes of the majestic North Eastern Drakensburg Mountain Range. It is hidden in a luscious rain forest, below Marieskop, also known as Moholoholo -"'The Very Great One". Forest Camp comprises of 7 secluded double chalets and 1 family chalet all with ensuite shower and bath as well as 2 Brick Chalets with ensuite shower only.
The main building is where the dining room and deck are situated. The deck overlooks a small shady waterhole under a canopy of large trees where Nyala and Bushbuck come to quench their thirst together with Samango Monkeys under the watchful eyes of birds such as Green Twin spots, Paradise Fly Catchers and Pygmy Kingfishers. Our host and hostess's hospitality makes any visitor feel at home and part of the family within minutes after arrival. The lovely setting of the camp soon soothes away the stress while the peace and quiet of unspoiled nature becomes a way of life. Country-style cooking enhances the intimate atmosphere experience at Forest Camp - all meals are served buffet style.
Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation centre is on the same Game Farm and is an unforgettable experience. Moholoholo is ideally situated for day excursions to the Kruger Park (Orpen Gate around 60km), Blyde River Canyon, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Pilgrims Rest, Graskop, Sabie, each place known for either their beautiful waterfalls, views, history, shops (230km for a round trip). Swadini Snake Park (15km), Cheetah Breeding Project(16km), Echo Caves (45km), all a wonderful experience!
