The Lodge offers a stunning and distinct Zambian bush experience, close enough to the Victoria Falls and all activities but also remote enough to experience Africa in all its glory. The lodge is Self Catering and owner managed.
The lodge consists of 3 houses with stunning river views and 4 A-frames which are beautifully built with an African feel.
The big house can accommodate up to 10 people while the other 2 houses can accommodate 5 people each. The biggest A-frame can accommodate up to 4 people whilst the other 3 A-frames can accommodate 2 people each. All the beds are equipped with walk-in mosquito nets.
The lodge is open all year round and is ideal for large groups. The lodge can accommodate up to 30 people. Everything is on hand for a perfect self-catering holiday. Camping facilities are available for guests and their staff. Mambova Rapids Lodge is renowned for Tiger Fish and bream so the resort is an ideal spot for enthusiastic anglers. The fishing season is from 1 March to 1 December.
A paradise for birders, Mambova Rapids Lodge also offers boat and pontoon hire with a guide. Clients are free to come with their own boats. We are more than happy to assist our clients in organizing for the various activities offered in the region i.e. white water rafting, scenic flights, game viewing, elephant rides, lion walks, river cruises, bungee jumping, abseiling, horse rides, cultural village tour (visit to chief Sekute's palace), Chobe day trip, Mabula Game Farm trip and many more.
Full board accommodation can be arranged in advance and we provide on request baby sitters, laundry service and chefs at an extra costs.
We also have a campsite which is adjacent to the lodge.
Mambova Rapids Lodge is beautifully built on the banks of Mambova Rapids on the upper Zambezi River, 72km from Livingstone, 12km from Kazungula border post and 81km from the Victoria Falls.
