We also run volunteer projects that aim mainly to uplift the local community, which is really a very poor community with the most wonderful warm people.
We aim to bring awareness as well as running social projects while the traveller could experience a local in-depth vibe that no money can ever buy. We are offering our guests this profound unforgettable experience of the real warmth and township hospitality. Experience a wonderful and well balanced fusion of these 2 worlds.
We are creating the vibey retreat that you will consider your safe home inside the very special vibey township. You will feel at home here even if you are thousands of miles from your own home. You will experience what very few people even ever knows exists.
Our Dorms and rooms reflect the true atmosphere of safe and vibey township living.
We accept our local social responsibility in this beautiful little jewel of Cape Town in the midst of a very poor but vibey township community. We are helping by identifying, adopting or just working on finding solutions. You may give a bit of your time and knowledge and gain a world of wisdom.
1. Children: orphanage, soup kitchen, educational and school.
2. Adults: poverty, job training and job creation.
3. The Elderly: treated to haircuts, nail care and some forms of entertainment.
4. Animals: work side to side with the famous local animal Saint Colleen Pienaar. Help her with everything from identifying animals for spading and neutering to finding and treating sick or abused animals.
