Makumu Private Game Lodge is a luxurious unfenced establishment situated in the wilderness of the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve in Hoedspruit, South Africa. Experience the untamed wilderness of the reserve with the abundance of bird-life and magical fauna and flora.
Enjoy exhilarating game drives twice daily in open landrovers with a ranger and a shangaan tracker helping you spot these amazing animals in the wild.
Step into the tastefully designed African Lodge and witness a seamless mixture of luxury and nature. Enjoy the outdoors and watch the wildlife meander in the bush close by while taking a refreshing swim in our pool overlooking the waterhole.
The lodge has three individually decorated and designed luxury villas featuring double and twin beds, walk-in wardrobes, ensuite bathrooms with bathtub and showers.
We are family friendly - all ages are welcome with exclusive lodge bookings. Please take note no children under the age of 13 years are allowed on individual bookings.
Please note that our conservation levy is not included in the rate and will be charged separately after your reservation has been made.
Please note:
* Our minimum child age is now 8+ years. All ages are welcome when booking exclusive use of the lodge
* All game viewing activities (morning and afternoon drives, walking trails, tracking big game on foot, bird watching)
* All meals, teas, coffees and a selection of local beverages including beers, wines and soft drinks
* Transfers to/ from Hoedspruit airport for stays of 3 nights or longer
