At the foot of the Helderberg Mountain, set in a park-like garden, you will find Cape Dutch Country Home, an elegant four bedroomed country home, offering a perfect setting to unwind in a relaxing atmosphere.
The facilities we offer includes a swimming pool with barbecue and entertaining area.
The formal sitting room, with French doors to a grapevine covered patio, has a fireplace to enjoy during the Cape winters. A separate family/TV room leads to an undercover patio, with views on the Hottentots Holland mountain range, where outdoor meals can be enjoyed. There are various seating arrangements throughout the large garden, patios and balconies to ensure the guest’s privacy.
The bedroom wing consists of one double and three twin rooms. Two of the twin rooms shares a bathroom and forms an ideal family wing. The twin beds can also be made up as a king size bed. The other double room and twin room both have en-suite bathrooms. All bedrooms have French doors, leading to their own patio or balcony overlooking the garden and the swimming pool area.
The complete house will be rented on a self-catering basis for up to eight persons.
A daily cleaning service and private laundry/ironing service is included during weekdays, but not over weekends or public holidays. Fresh towels are provided daily.
Cape Dutch Country Home is ideally situated for easy walks in the Helderberg Nature Reserve, close to beaches, harbours and historic Stellenbosch with it’s Wine Route. Somerset West also has it’s own Helderberg Wine Route.
Famous historic farms such as Vergelegen, Morgenster, Fleur de Cap and Lourensford are nestled on the perimeter of the village.
There is a choice of seven coffee shops/restaurants in the immediate vicinity and world class golf courses, all just a few minutes away.
We are only a 25 minute drive from Cape Town International Airport and 40 minutes from the city of Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront.
