(35 customer reviews)
Enjo Nature Farm is located right in the middle of the remote and beautiful Biedouw Valley.
We are primarily a guest farm and our accommodation includes a range of self-catering cottages from remote off-grid options to those closer to the farmhouse, as well as campsites with views of the Cederberg mountains.
We also farm sheep and our herd of Dorper Sheep may be seen grazing on the hillsides when you are out on walks.
The farm features a convenient farmshop stocked with essentials like ice, cold drinks, and firewood, alongside local products including Biedouw Valley Rooibos tea and olive oil. Guests can enjoy homemade ice cream and treats, or help themselves to complimentary tea and coffee on the veranda. Free, fast WiFi is available at the farm shop and garden, with spaces to work either at a desk inside or in the garden surrounded by mountain views.
Swimming options include our large spring-fed farm reservoir or our recently renovated chlorinated farm dam swimming pool—both ideal for cooling off and evening sundowners. The natural dam also provides opportunities for paddle skiing and relaxation on the deck area.
The property has hiking trails that take visitors past our mountain spring and up into the mountains for panoramic views. The surrounding Cederberg landscape offers diverse terrain for exploration, with comfortable accommodation awaiting your return.
Enjo Nature Farm welcomes pets and focuses on providing a straightforward, enjoyable experience in the Biedouw Valley. Our accommodation options vary in location and amenities—contact us for advice on selecting the right option for your needs.
Experience the Seasons
Enjo is highly seasonal, with the landscape transforming dramatically throughout the year—from lush green vegetation to arid, dusty terrain. Each season brings its own magic to Enjo Nature Farm:
Spring (August-October): Witness the spectacular wildflower bloom that transforms the valley into a carpet of vibrant colors.
Summer (November-February): Enjoy warm days perfect for swimming in our dams or natural clear water poosls int he river and stargazing under clear night skies. Take note that January and February can be very hot though, with heatwaves lasting 3-7 days at a time.
Autumn (March-May): Experience milder temperatures and the changing colors of the landscape.
Winter (June-August): Cozy up by the fireplace on winter evenings. Watch the landscape begin to transform with new growth in response to the winter rains.
We invite you to experience the magic of Enjo Nature Farm, where time slows down and nature takes center stage.

"My wife and I recently stayed at the Enjo Nature Farm in the Biedouw Valley. We are pensioners and have been around a long time and we have travelled quite a bit. I do NOT say this often or lightly... what a great place, run by such gentle and kind people. Nothing is too much of a problem to make the guests stay as pleasant as possible. Lauren and Guy and Estrella and Norman are absolutely wonderful people. The kind of people that one doesn't meet that often.
The cottage we stayed in for five days was rustic but comfortable and met our every need. It was a big bonus that our little four legged travelling companion, a Dachshund, stayed with us and that the cottage was completely fenced in. The silence is wonderful and it has been a long while since I could actually hear myself think. The flowers in the Biedouw valley where STUNNING and we returned home with batteries fully charged. We can't wait to do it all again. Thank you Lauren, Guy, Estrella and Norman."

"The worst part about Enjo Farm is I only got to spend 2 nights there. I needed 2 weeks. The cabins are incredibly well stocked (braai tongs, bottle openers, etc). The farm owners are awesome and really let you just enjoy the farm on your own. You can kayak, swim, cycle, talk to the super friendly horses, sleep till noon. There is no cell reception which really helps you disconnect from the world (but wifi at the farm house is a backup). Honestly, one of the nicest getaways I've had in ages."
