Located a mere five-hour drive, or one hour’s flight to George, from Cape Town, this homely 3-star guest farm, situated only 15km from Sedgefield, is close enough for a weekend getaway and far enough for a well-deserved escape on the Garden Route.
Swartvlei Equestrian Estate is synonymous with peace and harmony with the magnificent views surrounding you with highlights such as the Outeniqua mountain range and Swartvlei lake.
Whether you want to put your feet up in Summertime at the pool or explore all the beautiful towns of the area such as Wilderness, Knysna, George and what they have to offer. Swartvlei Equestrian Estate is the perfect destination, as we offer guests a range of activities, including abseiling, rock climbing, dune challenges, bird watching, canoeing, sunset boat cruises, mountain biking and picnics are just to name a few not to mention the reputable oysters of the area.
Choices of self-catering accommodation options ranging from an old historic manor house sleeping seven guests or our luxury cottages sleeping two guests each. Although we are a self-catering estate, we do offer a somewhat different breakfast on request. All guests have access to all the amenities we offer such as our swimming pool, tennis court and clubhouse.
The Horseshoe Ring at Swartvlei Equestrian Estate offers wedding couples “a touch of nature” with Wedding Packages for 60 guests or less.
