Welcome to Kragga Kamma. Lush coastal forest and grassland is home to vast herds of African game, including White Rhino, Buffalo, Cheetah, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala, Bontebok, Lechwe and many more species. All the animals roam freely, unrestricted in natural surroundings.
The owner operated an animal friendly park where no hunting or other disturbance of the game is permitted.
This means that you always get close up views and great photo opportunities. You also get to take a drive in your own vehicle through the park on the well maintained roads (no need for 4x4). You also get to enjoy viewing the game in any weather conditions from the comfort of your car. For those really close encounters, you get to choose the 2 hours guided tour in an open Land Rover with a professional guide providing you with interesting information on the animals and the historical background of the area.
Lodges include: Downstairs, there is a spacious lounge with a sleeper couch for two guests and a fireplace. The unit has an extra toilet and basin as well as an undercover enclosed braai / barbeque area. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms; one with a double bed and the second bedroom has 2 single beds. It also has a shower, basin and bath with a separate toilet and basin.
Cabins include: Open plan unit with a double, single beds, breakfast table and kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
Chalets include: Open plan with double and single beds downstairs and two single beds upstairs, breakfast table, kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet and basin. There is a braai area on the veranda over-looking the park.
Safari tent includes: An ensuite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin, furnished with two single beds. There is also a braai area on the veranda to overlooking the park.
At the Kragga Kamma Game Park, you may choose between two types of game drives; self drive and guided game drive. There is also cheetah tours which you enjoy a close up interaction with one of our cheetah. There is birding where you get to see good birding opportunities on the treetop board walk and the many waterholes. In the forest walk you get to take a walk on our 400 metre treetop board walk in viewing monkeys and other species of forest dwellers. The birdlife is fantastic with more than 200 species identified. Knysna Loeries are plentiful.
Functions include a minimum group to cater a specific meal as below 10 guests and evening function 20 guests.
Please note:
- Children aged between 0 and 5 stay free.
- Children aged between 6 and 16 pay 50% of the sharing rate.
- Check in time is 14:00. The reception office and Bush Cafe' close at 17H00. The gates to the park get locked at 18:00.
- Entrance fee to the game park is always applicable.
- Children from 3 years or younger are not allowed joining on the guided game drive tours.
- Non-smoking units, guests are provided with an ashtray which they can use outside the units.
- No pets allowed.
- The reception office and restaurant close at 17:00.
- Game Drives are charged at an additional cost.
- Exiting the game park will not be allowed once the gates are locked, unless special arrangements have been made at reception prior to check-in. If you have made special arrangements at reception to leave the park once the gates are locked, a call out fee will be charged and given to the ranger who will be opening the gates and escorting you back to your accommodation. A return time will need to be arranged with the ranger before heading out.
