“Belvedere Folly” is in a very lovely historic suburb in walking distance of the city centre. The owners (Jimmy and Louis), who have owned several guesthouses over the years, live in the house. There are spacious interior and exterior common areas for guest use such as a guest lounge and large, common balcony with spectacular view.
The bedrooms are both ensuite and are beautifully decorated in a bold contemporary style with African elements but acknowledging the era of the original building.
Rooms have wall safes, air conditioning, heating, and there is complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the house. Beverages are available for purchase from an honesty bar and light meals can be arranged if ordered in advance.
Parking is on the street in front of the house in the extremely wide but quiet Belvedere Avenue. The front garden is small but beautifully formed. It surrounds a small, heated plunge pool with an elaborate gazebo. Sun-loungers are available for relaxing in the rays of our hot southern sun.
