Cynthia's Country Farm Stay offers basic accommodation in the main guest house perched on a hill with beautiful views of the Witwatersberg Mountain, 4 rustic chalets sleeping 20 to 24 guests, low budget 2 x 8 sleeper cottages with a shared pool and a lapa only 1 kilometer from the Crocodile River.

The self-catering large main guest house can accommodate a total of 14 guests in 5 bedrooms. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, 2 single beds and a private bathroom. The second and third bedrooms also have a queen-size/double bed while the fourth and fifth bedrooms are furnished with twin beds, all sharing a full bathroom and separate toilet. Children can be accommodated in the study room, which is situated beneath the loft room. The house offers a very large swimming pool, swings and braai facilities with a boma fireplace. In addition, a mini-farmyard duck pond and water feature with ducks will keep the family entertained.

In addition to the main house, there are 2 x 8-sleeper rustic cottages, which have their own pool and 4 basic camping-style chalets. Out of the 4 chalets, 3 can accommodate up to 4 guests while the fourth can accommodate a total of 8 guests. The 4-sleepers have outside bathroom facilities while the 8-sleeper has its own shower facility. These chalets do not form part of the main house; they have a small pool and a park. The larger pool and lapa of the cottage may be shared.

Unit facilities include: dining area, fan, lounge area, TV, fridge, iron, microwave, oven and stove.

Establishment facilities include: swimming pool, swings/large swing at the park section of the property includes a trampoline and jungle gym, braai area and secure parking.

"Our stay ended pleasant, but started with mixed feelings. As we arrive, we were totally not expected at the 13:00 time that was emailed to us ... nothing was in place. We went to the cottage to leave our baggage, and gave them time to clean-up the room after the previous guests left, which apparently were minutes before (how can this be, they were suppose to left at 10:00am?, which leave more than enough time to clean up the room?). The cottage did not resemble any of the photo's I saw on the internet ... we all were very disappointed. The cleaners camped outside the cottage on the garden chairs, and did not even bother to get up. On the upside ... when we return later the evening, the cottage was very clean, everything in its place, nice and spacious ... the hospitality of the owners(?), Colleen and her husband, made us feel very welcome, 10 out of 10 for that! In essence, I will book there again for an overnight stay, and I think new things are coming for Cythia's Country Stay ... it seems that the new managers are very enthusiastic and have big plans. The rate per person per night, is very fair, and you will have a clean bed to sleep in.

The previous guests had not vacated from the unit as requested at 10:00 as they were waiting for their ride. (the people outside the unit, guests not cleaners).

We thank you for your patience on arrival and assure you that it is not the norm that a unit is not ready.

Our check in time is at two, not sure why Safari Now has it at 1pm. Have adjusted it accordingly.

Safari Now does not give us the option to display our photos individually for the different accommodations, I will, however, try to rectify this in some way.

"We stayed in the chalets; and it was perfect for our requirements. We weren't looking for luxury or bells & whistles. We just wanted a bed for the night. I found it a little weird that the toilets weren't part of the chalet but since we spent exactly 9 hours there, it wasn't too much of an issue. Especially considering the price. The only thing I wasn't too impressed with was that nobody came to greet us when we arrived. Again, not a massive issue but it was a little unprofessional."
