"Since the moment we drove onto the premises we loved every minute of our stay! The location is breathtaking and the forest and gardens were a joy to explore. The interior of the lodge is beautiful - you already feel spoiled when you walk through the doors. We were welcomed so warmly and thanks to the manager felt so at home. It was great to be able to use all the facilities, especially the boat house. Having coffee in front of the fireplace with autumn views over the lake were heavenly. "

Walks in the indiginous forrest start at the guest house and are a wonderland to be enjoyed by the whole family."

"We took a weekend break. Bramasole has very friendly staff and is a beautiful guesthouse with well kept gardens. We had a braai at the 'skuur' next to the dam. There is a lovely walking trail and we took beautiful pictures. Definitely worth a visit.

This is a place for nature lovers and people who want peace and quiet. Situated in the mountains, next to a lake and the indigenous forest, it is the ideal escape from the hustle and bustle and noise of daily life. The lake house provides shelter from the elements, while not restricting the lovely view.
The breakfast is well prepared and provides enough variety. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful."

"Relaxation is an art"

(Netherlands) Harriet Van Dijk

"Bramasole was our first stay and it was wonderful. Nice and quiet, lovely details in the rooms and very friendly and helpful people. Personally I'm used to the dirt roads but I can imagine that the unsuspecting tourist might be put off by that."

"As a travel journalist (for DEKAT magazine) I have stayed in many first-class hotels, but Bramasole takes tranquillity and relaxation to a new level. It is a magnificent establishment run on a personal, one-on-one basis in which the traveller feels like one of the family without ever feeling compromised. Bramasole perfectly blends a homely ambience, breath taking scenery and hospitality to provide a getaway that rates as one of the top hideaways in the country. Not only does its Avatar-forest re-invigorate the tired mind, but it manages to provide some welcome exercise amongst overgrown giant trees, cascading little waterfalls and some steep climbs. Sophistication just got a new home. Bramasole where you don't need the sun!"

Access road needs attention but the area has had heavy rains prior to our arrival, but this was a minor issue and would not deter me from visiting again."
