Thesen Island is an excellent location for all activities around Knysna, and is a beautiful, safe community that's walking distance from the waterfront. The apartment is very well equipped, including sliding windows that open the whole apartment out to the patio with excellent views of the canals. It has a large and modern braai and offers the ability to relax in the hot tub on the deck. Management was very responsive to our needs throughout our stay and we highly recommend it."

"We love Thesen Islands - we have been there 3 times prior to this visit - and this was our best stay yet. Hammock 22 is a fantastic house - perfect for our family of 4.

For me the winning factor was that this is one of the best equipped homes we've used on Thesen Island. The kitchen was really well equipped and basics such as dishwasher tablets, salt and pepper and bin bags were provided. So often, one has to go and buy all these things for a holiday home - one inevitably has to buy a whole box full knowing that one will only use a fraction and the remainder will probably not be left for subsequent visitors but purloined by someone else.

The booking went very smoothly, the paperwork was left for us after hours, as promised, and everything was well handled. The agents were very helpful, even when we called them to find out where to get an electrical plug adaptor.

Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection for the Island was not functioning while we were there, much to my husband's annoyance.

We had a problem with the electricity in one section of the house so those guests weren't able to use the underfloor heating etc, which was a little bit uncomfortable for them.

We had no problems with TID when it came to making enquiries or bookings, we found them to be professional and came back to me quickly on requestes etc."

"We tavelled round SA for a month and this was the most wounderful spot.

Everything was new and clean, the view from the bed room was amazing.


The whole place gave a very relaxed feeling. We would like to come back here and spend a week, chilling, its that good."
