"Uitstekunde diens"

(South Africa) Louis wilken

"Ons was eers nie te rede met die kamer op die 3 de vloer wat aan ons toegedien is nie, veral met n hysbak wat slegs tot die 2de vloer werk nie. Met die toewysing van kamer nr4 met die grootste mate van toewyding was ons in ons noppies. Die kamer en kelner diens en ontvangs was uitstekend. Die sentra..."

Die sentrale lokalisasie maak van Stellenbosch hotel n uitstekende oppie.

Pas op vd 3de vloer!_"

"

Hotel has a great heritage appeal, but needs some serious maintenance. We had to keep our balcony door open the entire time to dampen the sewer smell of bad plumbing coming from the bathroom.
The doors are very old school and when other guests come back late in the evening, you get woken up from the hard noise from opening and closing of doors.
Also rooms are tiny!
Could be a great place, but needs a lot of work!"

"The Establisment is living on its historical past which we felt was interesting. Would not consider the bedroom luxury"

"My room in Stellenbosch hotel was more than I expected at the low price -- more spacious and some nice details. If you come without a car, the location is great for walking tours of the town. "

"We were very pleased with the hotel. Service was excellent and friendly. The rooms were generous in size and clean. Very enjoyable was the balcony. The location is great. Breakfast and dinner were very good. We would definitely stay here again."

"We had a very good 2 night stay at the Stellenbosch.

The decor was very atmospheric - including antiques in the room in an old colonial dutch style. The food was excellent as was the location in town. I would particularly recommend taking advantage of the hotel's ' tour' opportunities. We were taken on a day's wine tasting trip and had a thoroughly informative, interesting, tasty and fun day tailored to our individual preferences - it was also good value."

"We were booked in to stay at the Stellenbosch Hotel, but were upgraded to their sister hotel, Coopmanhuijs Hotel, just around the corner. It was absolutely fabulous! Situated right in the centre of town, within walking distance to all of the lovely restaurants and shops. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast spread delicious.

What stood out most was the great service that we received, from both the staff at the Stellenbosch Hotel and at the Coopmanhuijs Hotel. We would definitely recommend these properties."

"Pleasant hotel in the centre of town, near to all tourist sites. The only drawback that I can think of is that there is no garden in which to sit in the sun."

Even without that our room would have been good value at the rates we paid compared to others we stayed in South Africa. Breakfasts were good quality. It is difficult for hotels to give the personal everything cooked to order service you get in a B&B but Stellenbosch hotel managed it. "

We received a very warm welcome; the room allocated to us was splendid (apartment) felt like being from home to home.

I have already recommended this hotel to my friends in the USA and France who will be staying there in December.
