We stayed in a cottage, well equipped and decorated in excellent taste with quality linen. The fire place was a highlight. Although it was the end of January, it was quite chilly in the evenings. Coming back from a walk we found the fire already crackling. The friendly and competent staff walked the extra mile. We had a lovely breakfast with a breathtaking view on the dam and beautiful well kept lawns and lovely English gardens. I can highly recommend this jewel."

"A wonderful retreat in the mountains of Mpumulanga. On arrival one is welcomed by a feeling of warmth literally & figuratively. The reception room had a lovely blazing fire to add a homely feel to one’s arrival. The decor is very tastefully appointed with manager, receptionist plus staff giving us first class attention. Our accommodation was inviting with a lovely generous king sized double bed covered by a feather duvet with lovely linen sheets & electric blanket to add to a lovely warm nest. The bedrooms are large, of bedsitter type. The bathrooms are fitted with large baths plus shower having lovely large rain falling type shower heads & his & her basins of modern design with associated fittings. The water is from mountain streams which makes it sweet & soft. The water was magnificently hot to relax those weary limbs. The blazing fire in ones bedsitter makes it a special visit. All our rooms for our family overlooked the trout dam. This too with evening & morning reflections adds to the fairy tale experience. Trout rods & flies are available with assistance in coaching. The evening meals were served in lovely large white china dinner ware in an atmosphere of true romance. The meals we ordered ranged from trout, lamb curry, fillet steaks to calamari - all were exquisitely prepared & served. The breakfast too was a unique experience. A stop over here is a moment worth experiencing."
