"We only stayed for one night, but we had a very pleasant stay at Hillwatering Coutry House. The rooms were very cool and quite spacious. From our rooms we had garden view and in the distance we can see two of the area's most beautiful waterfalls (Lone Creek and Bridal Veil falls). Richard and his wife are very friendly and made us feel right at home. They also gave us great advise about where to eat and what to do in the area. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the Sabie area. Great value for money!"

"Very good hosts"

"We had three wonderful nights in Hillwatering.

Hazel and Richard are very kind and our little daughter (14month) loved to play with their dog.

Don't miss a dinner made by Hazel. She's a great cook. "

"Richard and Hazel are friendly hosts providing the right atmosphere for holiday makers. It is a very good location for visiting the Blyde River Canyon area. The filling breakfasts set you up for the day and the evening meal we had was home cooking at its best. Hillwatering Country House is away from the main town, set in a quiet area with birds waking you in the morning. They have a very inquisitive and friendly Jack Russell dog which may not appeal to all. A place we would gladly return to."

"We arrived at Hillwatering House after an airport delay in Johannesburg, trying to get used to driving a van on the opposite side of the road from what we were used to and traveling for hours in the rain and fog over mountain passes. We were exhausted and a little cranky. We were welcomed at Hillwatering House with quiet, comfortable rooms furnished with tea caddies and beverages in the refrigerator. We all agreed it was one of the best nights sleep of the whole trip. We woke up refreshed. The breakfast was delicious with eggs cooked to individual liking and delicious fruit, cereal and bread choices. Richard and Hazel could not have been more helpful with tips and a map for our next stop at Kruger National Park. We had little time to spend in Sabie and Richard told us of Lone Creek Falls which was close and beautiful. We have wonderful pictures and memories of our visit to Sabie and Hillwatering House. "

"Hosts Richard and Hazel, could not be faulted they were wonderful, nothing seemed to be too much trouble for them, full of information on where to go and what to to see and how to get there. Room very spacious, comfortable and clean, with all the necessary requirements, fridge kettle etc, so was the large bathroom. I especially enjoyed the English Breakfasts.
All in all a very enjoyable stay, with wonderfull views from the balcony, towards the mountains, - watching the sun go down with a glass of beer in hand - a first class stay. I thank them both."

"Pleasant Experience"

(South Africa) Ms Niemand

"It was a good experience to stay over at the Hillwatering Country House. The rooms are clean and neat. The beds are comfortable.

The owners were willing to give us a "take-away" breakfast, which was nice.
We will make us of this B&B again.
"
