The Blades is an exclusive 4 star hotel situated on a 10 hectare expanse of untamed Bushveld.

Built on the banks of the Roodeplaat Dam, we offer a unique combination of indigenous vegetation, landscaping and water-front luxury.

The Blades is conveniently situated just 20 minutes from Pretoria and OR Tambo International and 45 minutes from Johannesburg, making it an accessible destination to both local and international guests.

The Blades Hotel has a wide variety of room types on offer. All 46 of these rooms (96 beds) boast breath-taking views of the Bushveld or Roodeplaat Dam. With a choice of Executive Suites, Family Rooms, or Double/ Twin Luxury Rooms, all requirements can be catered for. Central fireplaces in our Executive Suites add to the romantic ambience.

A conference room is available for a minimum of 3 to 400 people. Facilities included are a fax machine, internet enabled pc, photocopy machine, data projector, slide projector, digital projector, notebook available and a whiteboard.

The Blades upper deck and restaurant can seat up to 160 guests. Both the upper deck and restaurant boast gorgeous views of Roodeplaat Dam, lush green lawns and indigenous bushveld. Exquisite sunsets provide an ideal backdrop to enjoy an afternoon cocktail or simply sit back, relax and take in the sounds of nature.

Our Chefs have created an exclusive menu with a small selection of signature dishes. Our success lies in the simplicity of our cuisine. All our dishes are lovingly prepared, using the freshest of ingredients. Whenever possible we use organic herbs and vegetables grown in our own gardens. We are Halaal friendly – strict Halaal and kosher meals need to be requested 24hr in advance.

Leisure facilities:

Lush green lawns are the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, daydreaming by the water's edge, or trying to identify the myriad of water birds that visit The Blades Hotel.

The bar and lounge with genuine Olympic memorabilia combines a tranquil water feel with a hint of regatta ambience.

"Had an awesome stay. Peaceful surroundings. Friendly staff. Was just wondering why on the first night only the fireplace was lit and sufficient wood was supplied to keep it going. And the next two nights we couldn't light the remaining 3 logs because we had nothing to get it going with. We arrived at 1am on Sunday morning and it was freezing. For the rest of our stay everything was perfect. The food is delicious and of excellent quality. Thank you!"

"We booked an executive chalet at The Blades for our anniversary. What a pleasant experience. From our arrival we were treated like royalty. Welcome drinks were offered and when we were taken to our room, all our expectations were met. The room service picnic table alongside the fireplace was a real treat with divine food and champagne. The breakfast the next morning was superb! Thanks for making this a very memorable, pleasant experience for us. We appreciate it. We'll tell all our friends about The Blades and recommend to them to visit you."
