"Stay at Palala Podica"

"Ons het Palala Podica besoek tussen 18-21 Maart. Die Chartlet was skoon en niks meer is nodig vir die lekker rus tyd nie. Hier word mens weer een met die natuur en gee jou kans om jou kop skoon te kry na al die gejaag. Die personeel isvoortreflik en vriendelik. Die lekker huotvuur en die waterstroom maak die atmosfeer soveel aangenamer. Dankie aan julle mense julle sorg dat ons almal kan lekker rus terwyl julle seker maak alles loop reg.

Sien beslis weer

"Goeie waarde"

(South Africa) Christa Scholtz

"Ons het na 'n jaar teruggekeer na die pragtige natuurskoon en rustigheid. Dit was heerlik om die bos sonder enige onnatuurlike steuringe te geniet. Warm gasvryheid en sjampanje om 'n verjaarsdag onvergeetlik te maak. Ons sal beslis weer kom kuier!

"It was an amazing relaxed weekend. The accommodation is basic, and clean. we had the Podica 1 and that has an outside bush shower. The sound of the river in the background and the birds in the trees was heavenly. It is raw bush and a 4x4 or a rough terrain vehicle is recommended. We went for a game drive on our own, and thoroughly enjoyed the wild life and bird species. Sitting around the camp fire in the boma in the evening was peaceful. No cellphone coverage down in the valley of the mountain and no TV makes space for good conversation and catch up time. Sitting in the hammock >>>>comfy>>>> want one at home now as well as the outside shower. It even has hot water. Little disappointed that the cottage does not overlook the river, but the walk thorough the bush to where the river was tumbling and rushing over the rocks was worth while. Thank you for the complimentary wine... Most enjoyable. They said that we need to take plugs for charging the phones, but the establishment provided plenty. A quirky place with stacks of character. The lodges management very pleasant helpful and friendly."

"The cottages are beautifully equipped in a secluded area on the reserve. They are perfectly set for a tranquil retreat in the bush either as a couple or family. The area is beautiful, game abundant. A truly authentic African experience in comfort. One can soak up the luxury of a spa or take a hike in the bush, bike or informative game drive or have fun in the river rock pools swimming or fishing. Wonderful."

"This is our second stay at Jembisa Self Catering Units. The first was for one night, the second was for two nights and time permitting, would have been five nights! The units are beautifully located in the most tranquil surroundings on the banks of the Palala River where beautiful sunrises and sunsets can be observed in the privacy and comfort of one's" own home"

The bubbling sound of the River running by, interspersed with the African bush sounds, on a star filled or moonlit night is also extremely relaxing and soothing while sitting peacefully on your veranda or around the fire side. The cottages themselves are everything one could wish for or desire. Comfortable furnishing, all the conveniences one requires from the tea spoons to wine glasses!

Hot water in the tub or from the outdoor shower at the end of a quiet day, prepares you for a good night's sound sleep. We at Northgate Lodge, Nata Botswana definitely recommend to all south bound travellers to take the slightly longer but infinitively more pleasant route via Melk Rivier to Jembisa before continuing on their journey.
